March begins a very exciting time of the year for us. This begins the countdown to Pesach (Passover). First we come to the celebration of Purim. While this is not one of the Appointed Times of the Holy One, it is still a time of great celebration as we read about in the book of Esther. A great battle was won, and the salvation of the Jewish people was once again secured, in spite of their enemies.

We will be celebrating this year on Shabbat afternoon, March 19th, as part of our regular service. We are honored to have Randall Bane of "David's House" ministering that day. It is going to be a wonderful time of fellowship and fun.

Don't forget Monday evening, April 18th will be our Community Passover Seder at the Jenkins Auditorium in Downtown Clermont.

We are excited that we have two special guests this month. On January 8th, Rabbi Stuart Fabricant of Congregation Shoresh David of San Antonio, Texas will be our guest speaker. Rabbi Stuart is a board member of Congregation Beth Tefillah, and a good friend.

On Tuesday evening, January 11th, we will be having an "Evening with Ruven Prager." Ruven is a Levite in Jerusalem that is involved in the restoration of ancient Israelite customs. This is always an exciting presentation, as we see restoration of items related to the rebuilding of the Temple.
